Question 94 Taurus Wagon pulsing or surging?

I just picked up a 94 Taurus wagon and basically it runs great. It idles smoothly, and is peppy and runs good at low speed as well as 75 mph. The Cruise control works great and it never misses a beat. The question I have is that it seems that whenever the car is run at a steady speed whethere using the cruise contror or not, the car seems to pulse. That may not be a good terminology but it just seems to want to be accelerated more. If you slow down or speed up it will cease to pulse for a short while and then it starts again.
The vehicle has 112000 miles on it at the present time and just about everything works except the clock doesn't keep good time.

Thanks for your help

Bud

Sounds like a candidate for a good tune-up. Replace plugs and wires, add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank, replace the air filter, spray out the throttle body with compatible cleaner (I believe Ford has a sticker on the '94 stating not to use cleaners on the throttle body because it has a special coating to prevent carbon build-up, etc.), and change the fuel filter.
