Electric gauges (oil & water temp.) in '88 CRX Si

I am installing electric gauges in my '88 CRX Si and have come across a few posts that dealt with mechanical oil gauge install. I understand about the BSPT to NPT issue, but what I really want to know is when I attach the BSPT/NPT fitting to the spot where the OEM sender is now, what type of hose/braided line (barbed fittings, AN fittings) works best to go from there a manifold (distribution) block I am going to remotely locate somewhere on the firewall/inner fender.

I saw the fitting offered on Tunertoys, but I don't really want a bunch of stuff hanging on the engine.

Is the water temp gauge sensor a 1/8 BSPT or is it 1/8 NPT or metric ? I am also going to relocate the water temp. sending unit same as the oil pressure.

get the fitting from tunertoys. send a SS line from the fitting to an oil T with the sender on it or from the oil fitting directly to the sender itself. SS lines and NPT fittings can be purchased from summitracing or anywhere else that sells ss lines.

npt is used for the water.

Re: Electric gauges (oil & water temp.) in '88 CRX Si

Thanks for the info. I did not want to have my OEM oil sender sticking off the motor any more than it had to. I have heard about problems with that, that is why I thought a direct line to a distribution block would eliminate that problem. I am having a hard time finding a 1/8 male NPT to a female BSPT adapter (so I can re-attach OEM sender at the dist. block) can a female BSPP (parallel thread) be used with a male BSPT (taper thread)?
