3.0L duratec. Myself and many others on contour.org and newcougar.org have done the swap.

I have done one and the whole engine/trans comes out from the bottom.Make sure to lock the steering wheel,you will ruin the clockspring if you do not do this.

I pulled mine from the top and left the whole subframe connected. Just undo the motor mounts, roll resistors, and the misc connectors, hoses, and its good. It takes a little bit longer than dropping it from the bottom, but most people dont have access to lift.
