Sweeet_Its Fixed_ No More Tranny Problems

Hey guys if you ve read my previous posts,You know its been hell trying to figure this one out.But I have to admit most of it self imposed.Started out the normal solenoid problem.Relaced it with the Delco Kit 1355. The result was instead of just 1st and 2nd, I also had 3rd now. But no o/d and a different code. Before installing the NEW noids, the code was Solenoid(B) bad .After installing them, the code is, Solennoid (A) bad. Took the pan back off. Checked the new noids, wiring from the noids all the way back to the PCM.And ALL points in between. All checked good.Put it back together, put a another Pcm in it, still no o/d. Damn...Researched half a day and came across some pics and diagrams.Yeap, after I did the job.LOL. Studied them, read some things. One thing that stuck out was, when you split the valve body,if you dont take the servo off,its a tight fit putting them back together without MOVING the balls. So I said what the hell. Its worth a try. So I took it backed apart to see if my balls had moved.LOL. Im getting pretty good at this now. And Guess what? One of my balls had indeed moved. Dont you hate it when that happens. It went into one of the valleys on the top half of the valve body.Woops. So I put it back in its right place. Made sure the rest was in place. Put it back together making sure my balls didnt move,(holding a light toward the split, and looking in between the valvebodys as I put the two halfs back together). And ILL BE. I have O/D.So the moral of this story is "You can live life in the fast lane,But if you wanna kick in overdrive, keep your balls in the right place.LOL Gotta laugh.
Any way, cadillacforums.com has some great photos and diagroms on the valve body of a 4T80-E. I looked in Northstar Performance Tech Discussion forum.Did a search in the forum on transmisson pics and diagams.
Thanks everyone
