Any Infiniti Service People Here?
Howdy,
I have a question in case there are any Infiniti service people reading this forum. I do my own service work (I was trained as a mechanic) and noticed something interesting with the oil filter on my 2002 I35. The filter that's on it right now is slighly bigger than the spare oil filter I picked up when I bought the car. I plan to change the oil shortly and convert it to Mobil One oil. The Infiniti service guy claims it's the correct oil filter but the numbers don't match the numbers listed on several web sites selling cars parts. (Nippon A6000-50695) I also checked my local Nissan dealer and was told the same thing, the smaller filter is the correct one. Why would Infiniti ship the cars with a bigger oil filter but sell you a small one as a replacement? Any thoughts on this? Regards, Shortimer |
