Post DSM electronics

I recently repaired a dsm ecu that had the rom replaced with a socket and a so called upgrade chip to match various engine modifications. I backed up the chip and took a quick glance at the resources. I believe i can write a custom system that will provide much more flexibility, control in comparison to the so called upgrades.

In addition, a friend and i are working on a digital boost controller for his car.(currently 0-29psi(moving to 0-50), programmable, lcd screen interface) As well, A DSM tuner had a few suggestions on controllers and signal converters that he would like such as MAP to MAF signal converters, and such.

I'd like to know what you are looking for in terms of electronics, controls, features and user interface. Is it viable to spend some time and develop some real solutions, or should i be content tinkering?

Steve.

Well if you can develop good Digital boost controllers it might be worth it.

Digital boost controllers are known to be not very reliable when it comes to actually holding boost settings, or being ver reliable.

Also about the Socketed ecu. We have a program already in such exsistence for those DSM users that have a socketed ecu from a 95 eclipse. IT's called DSMLINK.

Now if what you talk about is a way to modify 96-99 ECU's to run a tunning program, that might definately be worth it.

Re: DSM electronics

having a digital boost controler that will log and display boost threshold, peak, and have a downloadable Boost vs. RPM. Maybe a 3 diffrent stages? Got to be Color and show the red DSM logo. I'd pay $199

I'd be in for that.
