OBD P1130 Error Code

I have a 2003 Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.5L CRD in the UK

The engine has recently taken to just shutting down very suddenly. I have interrogated the On Board Diagnostic Error code and it has stored a code of "P1130 - Fuel Rail Pressure Malfunction Small Leakage Detected".

Could some one please tell me if this error only relates to the high pressure side of the diesel delivery side from the fuels pump at the engine to the Fuel Rail and the injectors or can this error be related to the low pressure delivery from the fuel lift pump located just forward of the fuel tank on the underside of the car.

I have spoken to a couple of Chrysler workshops but the guys there seem to more or less just replace parts until the problem cures itself. They do not seem to have the mechanical knowledge to be able to think for themselves and give me some had advice. I am reluctant to just throw money at the Dealer in the hope of fixing the problem. As with all intermittent faults they are the hardest to detect.

Any advice please?

Could you mail me with your answers to [email protected]

Many thanks in advance to all you technical guys out there
