Yes! i know for the pair, thats still very overpriced, seems everything is over priced on that site even the shipping, 15 bucks and change ??? for a pound of material?? ridiculous from R.K.

For that money? you could get a top quality COLGAN carbon fiber bra for the entire front end and have top quality, and change $$$ in your pocket to boot......colgan carbon fiber bra's and accessories have been around years.......

CHECK IT OUT

A little education: Carbon Fiber is a pattern, not a material,

AUTO bra's are all mostly made out of vinyl, or as you put it [shower caps] its the pattern that makes it different...

Some were leather, which was discontinued sporadicly in the mid 90s because of shrinkage, and cracking problems..

MOST BRA'S are made from plain vinyl, which has a smooth, sometimes shiny look, the fiber bra is the same vinyl, only it has the fiber or[rough]look........

BOTTOM LINE??.... RK is selling vinyl carbon fiber mirror bra's just like everyone else... colgan is the same as R.K in name only.......

only one is priced ridiculously high, and the other is priced fairly..

Re: something new??

Nope, the ones at that link are a sheet of carbon fiber material formed to the shape of the mirror, then the resin is poured on top to solidify, then polished smooth...

Re: something new??

Hate to break it to you but they are not vinyl one bit they are real c/f with an epoxy gel coating to maintain shape and reduce damage as well as fading and cracking.

Also here is a little re-education. Carbon fiber is a material, crack job. It is a composite from the base materials Pitch and Pan.

Pitch is a low grade of the material that is used in most normal c/f applications such as auto parts, golf products and certain match grade gun barrels.

Pan is a pure form of the material used in more critically structural areas such as airliners in the wings.

Once the material is produced the end product is fiber that is then woven into sheets and other certain forms as need. These sheets are then produced into the various products that are every where.

Next time do some research before spouting off a bunch of BS to the wrong guy.

WRONG AGAIN .MORE EDUCATION...... WHAT YOUR REFERRING TO IS A PROCESS THAT WAS USED BY THE AIRLINE MANUFACTURER'S THAT WENT OUT IN THE MID 80S, SINCE THEN THAT PRODUCT PAN HAS BEEN REPLACED BY FIBERGLASS AND THE PROCESS OF PITCH/PAN HAS BEEN REPLACED BY VINYL BY AUTO ENTHUSIASTS AND AIRLINES ETC

I THINK YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR RESEARCH ALSO...

AND PLEASE!! DON'T SHOW YOUR IMMATURITY WITH DEGRADING REMARKS.........

MY LAST POST ON THIS SUBJECT.... YOU HAVE THE FLOOR

Re: something new??

About the only thing vinyl about c/f is when they use a vinyl ester resin coating instead of a epoxy coat to strengthen the end product.

Also that wasnt my immaturity shinning through it is frustration. You will know when I have hit my low apex of immaturity when I just simply say fuck off. Facts are facts and I cant stand that despite the facts some people still think they are right. Im not saying this because I know Im right it is only because I know the facts.

As an example does anyone see vinyl anywhere in here?
