Question 1997 Monte Carlo Remote Programming

I already know how to program the remote. To program any remote for just about any car you can go to www.programyourremote.com

However, in my case it's a matter of finding the wire. I have searched my trunk several times today after checking online for clues as to where to look. I know the wire I'm looking for is supposed to be black and white, with a plastic connector cap at the end, and the wire should end somewhere near my antenna mount, but be inside the wiring harness cover. However, I've checked several times and found no wire. I also read somewhere that the receiver for the remote is located in the trunk near the passenger-side speaker. I couldn't find that either.

So my question is, can someone provide a link to a photo of the wire, reciever, and general trunk layout so I know where to look and what to look for visually instead of just with instructions? I don't even want to try and take my car to a dealer. Please help.

Re: 1997 Monte Carlo Remote Programming

Not sure my '95 Monte is the same, but below the antenna mount on the inside of the fender is a cable bundle running to the rear tail light. The black connector is a 1-pin socket that terminates midpoint between the trunk hinge and the taillight. You will pull the carpet from the right side fender and you can see/feel the bundle.
