Vortec v6 W

what does the W mean after some of the others have posted questions about there 4.3L V6 Vortec. Was reading a bunch of stuff today and noticed the W.

One letter in the VIN is a w, the other is a V or a Y I think. One of them is the VIN code for the 4.3 Vortec V6, the other is for the more powerful 4.3 Vortec High Output V6. This is one thing I noticed about my 96 Blazer. I found out that it had the H.O. 4.3. I think mine was the Y or V, not the W.

I have a 92 blazer with the vin code W. The vin code W means that it has Central Port injection, as opposed to Throttle body injection. You can tell because you can see the vortec on the top of the engine. The other vin code for the non high performance engine was Z
