Road Trip

I'm going to NJ on Friday the 13th. If anybody wants to meet up that would be cool. I'll be in central NJ (Jackson, Lakewood, Brick) over that weekend and traveling home on MLK day (that Monday the 16th).

I'll be taking I-85 north from SC through NC to Richmond, VA and then I-95 straight up from there. I haven't done this trip in a long time, but I drove the car from there when I bought it 4 years ago... and that was with a code 1, high compression pistons and burning mad oil in high rpms. I figured I shouldn't have much of problem as long as I use common sense, take my time and TLC.

Anyway, post up if you want to meet up, and PM me info if you want...

Re: Road Trip

Hybrid, aren't you near Phila? I can't believe it takes so long to go that far. There must be a ton of exchanges. At any rate, I'll be like 10 miles from the Jersey Shore. Maybe I can get my friend to drive us out to Phila. in his Avenger to give my CRX a break. I still can't believe he sold his 96' coupe cuz he blew his y8 up. A swap would have been way cheaper IMO than buying a POS. It had an ACT clutch, rims and some other stuff... pretty clean looking custom headlight bezel painting, etc. Oh well. It would be cool to check out all you Pa dudes... Ace$nyper and his ls/vtec hatch and new LSJuan. Isn't there a dude with turboed DA? And another dude with a sweet DSM?

Re: Road Trip

Okay. I'll drive the rex. Remember though... I'm primered and have slightly riced interior (some painted plastic pieces that came that way and under the hood color coordinated crap... the underside of the hood has tons of stickers... haha). Oh, but I ditched the neon lights...

Re: Road Trip

So got there no problem except the speedo/odo stopped working (VSS-code 17)... figured I would fix it when I got home. It started working after going through DC... like rally through there. Then it snows... 3 inches. My belts were squealing like a bitch. Then the passenger window falls off the track so I can't roll it down. It stayed put all the way home then it popped off the track on the way to work. I was wondering why the car seemed cold. I washed the salt off my car and it took the primer right off. Fuck that cold ass weather... Anyway, averaged 80mph and only used a tiny bit of oil... not too shabby... Oh yeah, the VSS was a little loose at the tranny and nasty dirty but seems to work fine. I pulled the ECU fuse to reset it but it didn't do anything until I pulled the hazard fuse...
