I got RAMMED

WTF.... I was on the way to a friend's house the other night... and this asshole with his big Turbo Diesel V8 Ram 2500 showed his ass... he tried racing me, then rode my ass... I took off to get him off my bumper, but he kept riding my tail... we hit a good 110... we were coming around a corner... so I tapped my brakes, he backed off... after this corner, there's a bridge... he got back on my bumper, then there's another corner... so I tapped my brakes again... he hit me hard... Then the motherfucker jumped outta his truck and wanted to kick my ass... He told the officer he was trying to pass me in a no-passing zone... and that I swerved in front of him... the officer wrote us both tickets... he got me for being over the center line... but I wasn't over the center line until after I was hit... He got the other driver for trying to pass in a no passing zone... The officer didn't take statements from my girlfriend (who was in the car), nor did he measure the skid marks... He didn't give us either sobriety tests or anything either... it was fucked up... I got in touch with my lawyer, my tickets getting dropped... and I got pictures to prove that I wasn't over the center line... I also have pictures showing the trucks skids that were over the center line... plus I have pictures showing how little visibility there was in that corner... but my insurance company seems to think that I won't be able to collect from his... so my car gets totalled and I get screwed the fuck over.... WTH.... any advice?

P.S.-I'll post pics soon... I gotta go home and post them, camera's there...

from an insurance standpoint, he hit the rear end of you, ie: he rear ended you. 99% of the time when someone rearends you, THEY are at fault, which means his insurance company should accept liability and pay the damages.

yeah, but the officer wrote it up as we were both at fault... the officer was a real asshole... the man lied to him... I got some friends who know the officer... they told me to fight it, b/c he's a really corrupt officer and does stuff wrong...

w/e my g/f will vouch... he was f'in with me and wouldn't stay off my ass... I tapped the brakes, he rammed me... and then the officer was a dick... the guy jumped outta his truck and was gonna kick my ass (he's a/b 4x bigger then me)... but his wife was passing by and I flagged her down, b/c I didn't get any cell phone signal...

Hmm i know here in KY that you can't get a ticket unless the officer witnesed the incident. So i'd check with local law enforcement, or state law enforcement. As for ppl that ride you ass you are nicer then i am i slow down to a crawl or i tap my brake a few time real quick to let them know get off my a**.

Thats pretty messed up. I don't know about your police/judicial system, but here you would get that thrown out immediately. Sorry to hear about that though.

I just got the police report a min ago... here's what the officer said (complete bullshit I assure you)... "... (he give location)... Vehicle 2 drove into the northbound lane to pass vehicle 1 as vehicle 1 crossed center line and applied brakes. Vehicle 2 collided with vehicle 1. On impact, vehicle 1 was forced onto right shoulder where it came to rest. Vehicle 2 stopped momentarily in roadway, but was moved onto right shoulder prior to trooper's arrival at scene. This collision was the culmination of an agressive driving event between these two vehicles which had been ongoing for approximately five miles."

Bullshit... when I get some time, I'll come back and refute his arguments... even the diagram he has on the report is f'ed up... it shows his vehicle ahead of mine, like I accelerated in front of him, then slammed on brakes in the left lane... and spun onto shoulder...

Sry Rocker... there's no fixing this... it'd be whole new rear quarter panels, new rear hatch, new rear trim, taillights, prolly suspension, new gas tank... it took out quite a big bite on my car... so always member... don't f'with them big ass 2500's...

shit, I usually either leave them, or tap the brakes... this guy was wanting more than that though... he flashed his brights several times... and got beside me and started pulling forward, then he got back behind me and rode my ass some more...

advice...sue him. you will win. Like gateway said, if he hit your backend, he rearended you, its his fault. His insurance company will most likely offer you a settlement to keep it out of court. You should get in touch with some local law firms. If your going to go that route, tell your lawyer exactly what happened, dont lie.

Yes, I am looking to sue him now, his insurance is denying liability... and seeking money from me... the cop was lied to... but I have pictures of the scene... and I also have a pretty good lawyer... and a few people who know the cop (corrupt)... they said with his name on the ticket, it'd make things easier... and I have also used this lawyer several times b4... he's a hard-working lawyer and he knows I'm gonna be straight with him... but I will tell you... that a friend of mine had a ram 2500 turbo-diesel... tops out at 115... (speedo says 120)... and this guy was riding my ass at 110.... so he was pushing it... I woulda went faster, but 4th tops a/b 110 and I was tired of him riding my ass... he was so close, his grill was shining from my taillights...

hell yeah... I'm working on it... I'm definitely letting him pay my g/f's dr. bills... she's got a (bruised, we think) rotor cup in her shoulder, and what we hope is a bruised kidney... if not, that asshole will be paying for this for a long time... I think I may have also messed up my damn ankle... it's been bothering me since yesterday... I don't think I have whiplash though... b/c I wasn't that hard on the brakes... I know we were doing a helluva lot faster than that cop said we were though... he wrote down a/b 40... I hope his ass gets reprommanded too, b/c he was a dick to everyone involved... he even threatened to arrest my girlfriend if she didn't leave, and she was in my car when it happened...
