1988 Thunderbird question PLEASE help

I have an 88 thunderbird NOT a turbo coupe.

My question is.... Is there a SIZE difference? is one LONGER than the other? The coupes just look smaller to me. Maybe they are lower?? Is it just me?

Sure the obvious differences are the front, where the turbo coupe has no grill (which looks awsome without) and the two holes on the hood.

Im in the process of fixing my car

CAN I MAKE MY CAR GO FROM THIS... (copy paste)

I know i have to get a body kit, which i will ask how to get one in the near future, but for now, i just NEED to PLEASE know if its just me or is the Turbo SMALLER than MY car? and if you could give any suggestions of where i should start.

Please any info will be GREATELY appreciated.

Thank you for reading

They are the same size, the TC just looks different because of the ground effects and front end. The one in your photo is also lowered. It might be easier and less expensive for you to just buy a TC.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't.

I've seen the nose for sale on eBay. And the hood. Sorry I couldn't sell you the nose from the T/C I'm parting out, but it was very broken. I am selling the scoops on eBay next week. I hope you get your car to what you want it to be. Good Luck.

Re: 1988 Thunderbird question PLEASE help

Have you been to this site yet? The poeple there mostly have 83-88 Thunderbirds and Cougars. Some are very much into modifing these cars. Read the Suspension/Steering and the Body/Appearance sections and get some ideas. Coolcats.net also has some very good information.

Re: 1988 Thunderbird question PLEASE help

ANYWAY YOU GOT YOURSELF A GOOD HOTROD 83-88 T-BIRDS SIT ON THE FOX PLATFORMS WICH IS THE SAME AS MUSTANGS. AND YOUR 88'5.0 IS A ROLLER CAM MOTOR SO THERE’S ALOT YOU CAN DO.
PUT THE T/C HOOD AND GRILL ON, BUMPER IF YOU WANT FOG LIGHTS DONT WORRY ABOUT THE FENDERS T/C RIMS ARE 16"W/SIMLAR TO COBRA-R's. T/C REAREND HAS DISC BRAKES W/POSI AUTOS 3.73, STANDART 3.55(EASY BOLT ON)
SAME AUTO TRANNY AS MUTANGS (AOD) SHIFT KIT IS GOOD.MOTOR MODS ARE ENDLESS.
