anyone know where I could find info on turbocharging an na 12a? Its a new engine and I dont have the money for a 13bt.

Turboing a 12A na will cost you as much or more than a 13BT swap. But if your still intrested let me kow, ill give you the info.

you could also get teh jspec 12a that came turbo stock

shit the same? just cause there isnt a kit for it? would you suggest a 13bt or s4? I was thinking about the s4 because I could get it cheap from a local place but ive dealt with more smog problems with my vr4 then anyone should in their entire life, so this plays a large role in my engine choice. A new 13bt is like 4-5k from what ive seen. Ive noticed alot of rx7 owners eliminate emissions...? Does every owner know a mechanic to smog for them or what? With smog 2 it becomes a lot harder to fake it.

It's somewhat hard to get either engine smogged stock let alone a turboed 12a or modded 13bt.

I would assume most people removing smog items are in non-smog states so they don't really have to worry about the emissions system.

You could also find a pretty cheap jspec 13bt on ebay or online importers for around 1,000-2,000 used.
