Torque Management

I'm confused. If I add mods, they'll only benefit me but so far, before Torque Management kicks in to safeguard my transmission. That sucks. Now I can get a tune to remove all of it or some but run the risk of damaging my transmission down the line. From what's been posted this could still happen with the Transgo & Corvette servo if I'm understanding correctly. Is there anything I can do so I can enjoy my mods without worrying about Torque Management and my Transmission?

I won't be racing at all, just a daily driver. Is the TM that noticeable? Don't want to speed onto a entrance ramp and then loose power!

If there is no definite way, looks like I'll be a whole lot richer and riding stock.

Re: Torque Management

There are "safe" levels of TM to remove. Allen removes his suggested amount, unles asked to remove more. However, I do know of people running 0 TM on old trannies, and more who are running 0 TM and have no problems 50,000 miles later. The Vette servo does not reduce TM; it just firms up the 1-2 shift a bit.

Re: Torque Management

I had 80% of my TM removed. It is very noticeable to me.

Re: Torque Management

I would like to get it all removed but not until I get a Transgo and a Vette servo. I just got my tranny rebuilt the over the holidays so now I dont have the $$$$ to get anything anything . Like I even had it in the first place.

Re: Torque Management

I guess I've been lucky. 80% and I drive the total hell out of it sometimes. Well, I guess burnouts count as hell.
