CB Antenna Mounting

I have a 2001 Silverado that I'd like to mount a CB antenna on, but don't really want to drill, at least not on the out side of the body, maybe just between the bed and the cab.(?) . Anybody out there got a good set up they can send/post pics of? Any info to share? I have a soft tonneau on the bed, by the way. Thanks.

Re: CB Antenna Mounting

you could use a glass mount antenna or get a fender mount for the antenna.

Re: CB Antenna Mounting

I've seen people drill into the top of the bumper and mount it there

Re: CB Antenna Mounting

If you want to talk and hear good, don't use glass mounts. Check out Airjam18's pics (think i spelled that right) he has them mounted liek your talking about.
If you want, Wilson makes an EXTREMELY strong magnet mount (Wilson 1000, Wilson 500, Wilson Lil' Wil). I've owned 3 of them in the past and loved them b/c I could move them if I needed to.

Re: CB Antenna Mounting

Can the stock antenna be replaced with an am/fm/cb antenna? I have a Wilson 1000 and it works great but I can't leave it on the truck for fear it will be stolen.

Re: CB Antenna Mounting

they used to make splitters that you could run your radio and cb through but like the glass mount they dont work very good. I would figure out a way to mount the wilson.
