Re: noisey brake pedal

Your break pedal itself might just need to be greased up. I have the same problem with my clutch. Makes kind of a squeek like someone a good distance away is honking? Some WD40 should fix it good.

WD40 is a degreaser believe it or not.Use some oil.

Its a lubricant too, it says right on the can "Stops squeaks". I would use wd40 just because I would get gease or oil all the fuck over my car . I'll try the WD40 on my clutch and see if stays squeak free for a while or not.

Believe everything you read? It's effects doesn't last long because it evaporates and degreases.I feel for you because if you can't put some oil on it,I can only guess what a bomb can does for you.Sure to soak the f#$k out of your car.

Where the hell did the bomb stuff come from and how does it apply to wd40?

Re: noisey brake pedal

Am I dealing with rookies here or what?A bomb can is slang for a aerosol can, because if you throw one in a fire it goes boom. The saying has been around for some time. Can you see the connection with WD40 now?

What's written is misleading that's all. It's a penetrating lube for breaking rusted bolts loose. It is not a long term lube cause it evaporates and it takes anything like oil off(degreases). The true meaning of WD40 is,Water Displacement and it took the chemist 40 trys to get the formula right. This stuff was used for protecting metal from water so to speak. If you have a dirt bike or ATV and you wash it down and let it dry, spray this stuff on the undercarrige, shocks, engine, swingarm, etc.Your bike will look like it came off the showroom floor. And the next time you wash your bike it will be easier to clean,if you have a pressure washer.Don't spray the plastic though.
