I go with the flow and tell you it's a great build you have there. I also like the weathering of the exhausts and the smaller details like the clutch cover. What type of red have you used on the stearing damper and radiator hose "clamps"?
best regards Joel

Thanx for those kind words!
"Looks awesome, what color is that on the frame?" The frame at some parts such front fork are allready painted on sprue in a semigloss chrome aīla Tamiya. I just run a blackwash over the entire framework for lifting contrasts and tone down the glossy, toyish look. "Just beautiful, can you tell us what procedure u used on the weathering of the exhaust? Colors? Great work!" Well, I tryed a new technique on the exhaustpipes. Firts give them a coat of Tamiya color Titanium silver with the airbrush. Then a light coat of Tamiya clear blue on curves and weldings. Then I bild up several light coats of a premix of Tamiya clear smoke and semi gloss black in those areas where the clear blue is but leave some overlap so the bluish still is there. Then I use Humbrol 109 lightblue as a wash and apply this mix on the weldings, to replicate heatstains from weldingprocess. Finally I drybrush the whole exhausts over weldingseams and so forth with Humbrol silver 11. |
