98 trooper transfer case popping out of high

i have a one owner, well maintained 98 trooper. auto trans. the transfer case was popping out of high, so i replaced the transfer case and vacuum switches that are mounted on front axle, with no results. all tires are the same. am i overlooking something? please help!!! thanks, mike

Something is causing driveline bind. Most common cause is the tires. Even if one or more tire is more worn than the others you will have binding in 4hi.

thanks for your response ! the tires are the correct size, they are worn fairly even, but they do have a good many miles on them. when i put it in 4high i can only drive a few feet. you can watch the shifter pulling back. also when i hit the switch to go out of 4whl dr the dash light blinks and it seems to take a while to go out of 4whl dr. mike
