Re: I Give up!
the main thing is to keep at it. the trick with working with markers is working light to dark. covering your car with a light color and slowly and easily move your way to darker colors. after you have your rough colors made, take the thin tip of your markers and blend in the lines with different shades. it takes practice. good luck

i did things slightly differently. i used to do the dark colours and harsh reflections in marker first, and then do the lighter graduated tones with pastel. i dont know if you have any, but they might help you out. if not, some careful coloured pencil work will add some depth to it. and finally, although its technically not realistic, use while pastel or chalk to gently lighten the part of the car that is furthest away from you. it ads to the feeling of depth.

Re: I Give up!
I feel ya man.
I haven't done any marker only renderings. I do mostly marker and pastel. I can testify that the only way to get better is to keep doing them. I have done many marker renderings and I am just now getting the hang of it. Keep at it

Re: I Give up!
get cheap pastells or cheap color pencils if you can't /don't want to spend too much money. for a first try they'll do aswell.
I'm sure you will find some at your home. Ask your sister for her kindergarten pencil case, lol Great start btw! Keep it up! |

Re: I Give up!
dude you got time.
Just be patient and practice. Never give up. The joy in art is the pursuit. Frustration is part of the ride, but you can still enjoy it. Put your drawing away and look at it in 6 months compared to where you are at and you'll laugh because you have gotten so much better. inhale....1 2 3 4......exhale -Lemorris |
