Help a Newbie with an engine build up.

Okay, so here's what I got, and what I want. I've done much research and am not too sure on how to peice it all together.

I own a 1986 NA 5spd.

I am currently in the midst of doing a TII swap on it.

The thing I am missing most at this point in my life is the Motor. What exactly do I want? I want something that will be a reasonable daily driver. But kick the pants off the ricers out here in Alberta and in BC. I want something better then the normal TII motor.

What would be the best setup to acheive all this?

Standalone system?

What type of assembly should I be looking at getting?

I am still new to this whole rotary thing, but am learning much between AF NP and This forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Morgan

Talk to the guys at Pineapple Racing. They build street engines with that sort of output.

http://www.pineappleracing.com/

When I did my V8 conversion, these guys didn't exist, and a 300 hp streetable rotary was a fairy tale.

300hp out of a rotary was never a fairy tale :P you just had to know who to talk to and what to talk to them about.

I've got someone on Nopistions.com that I am talking to about building my motor. It should produce between 350 and 450 RWHP. If I want it too.

But I am looking for build specs.

like what kind of seals, rotors injectors.

Know what I mean?

I didnt' say 300 hp out of a rotary. I said 300 hp out of a streetable rotary. meaning, it had to live and be driveable. In '93, when I built mine, you could NOT build a driveable, liveable, streetable 300+ hp rotary that didnt' become a hand grenade after a month or so. the seals necessary didnt' exist.

Well, the fewthat did exist cost absolutely stupid money. For 300-350 hp, it was simply not worth it.

Now you can do a lot better. of course, it still costs, but not like it did, and they last a bit longer.

Again, you might want to talk to them about build specs, since they know how to do it (and tell the way it works on the Rotary Engine Illustrated site they run)
