stuck gas pedal
I have a 94 Crown Vic. Today, the gas pedal got stuck on the highway for a brief time (it is no longer stuck). Has this happened to anybody, and if so, what was the cause and solution?
Thanks, Jason |

Re: stuck gas pedal
This has happened to me 3 times before (2 times in our city on the main street) I figured out what it was. If you look where the throttle cable meets the engine, there are two cables, one being the kickdown cable, my bushing holding the cable on was broken and was caught between cable and housing making the pedal stick. Got it fixed in 30 minutes at a transmission shop for $25.
