Honda Tranny Code HELP

When you look on the tranny of a B series honda...how can you tell if it's an SI Tranny, GSR tranny, or Integra Type R tranny? I know my friend has a Type R tranny in his type R and it says S80 ******, my other friend with LS/vtec turbo has an S80 tranny and he said it was a GSR tranny, I bought a gsr tranny from a guy and it said S4C...wtf? Can someone help me out?
