1994 Wrangler

Hi,

Last week after putting my boat in the water and returning a few blocks to the house I couldn't get my Wrangler, 6 cyl. 1994 Wrangler to go in gear. I finally did and noticed that I had to put the clutch to the floor before it would disengage, and it engaged close to the floor when I let it out.

It was ok for two days and I got stuck and couldnt get it in gear when I tried to pump the clutch. That mad it work, it also made me think about the fluid levle for the madter and slave cyls.

It was half full/empty and I filled it up. I had a slight problem this morning and stopped by a repair place and was told, " it may clear up ina few days, and it may have air in the line. NO you can't blead it like breaks, and you'll have to replace both cylenders and the transmission must come out to do the work. When you do you might as well replace the clutch." He mentioned $900.00 parts and labor.

From the little bit of info can any of you sort of guess where I stand and what are my options?

Thanks

Re: 1994 Wrangler

I'm not sure about the 94, but in our 02 the clutch master cylinder was bad from the factory. You may be looking at a replacement for it, especially if the fluid level keeps dropping.
