93 GEO Metro Auto, Problems

I have a93 Metro Automatic that shifts right when cold, but I have to shift it manually when it is hot. I read in some of the threads about a fluid flush, is this something I can do myself, and if so how? Thanks Triker

You can do a normal fluid change which involves draining the old fluid and then removing the pan and cleaning out the magnet. However, you will not get all of the fluid out as about 30% of the fluid will be in the torque converter. You can do a flush at home yourself – after draining out the old fluid as described above, refill new fluid to the correct level, disconnect the oil cooler lines, start the engine and as fluid comes out of the oil cooler lines add fresh fluid until all the fluid coming out of the lines look new. This procedure will replace all of the fluid.

There is an article somewhere on the web on the exact steps – I do not have the link but you can search for it.
