Montero 2001 4WD Dash Light HELP

Let see if someone can help me a bit. I own a Mitsubishi Montero 2001 3.2 L DiD 76,000 Miles (currently not sold in the US) The transmission Sportronic, and the 4WD system are indentical to the gasoline version sold in the US and around the planet. For a couple of months my 4WD dashlight start to fail.
I was driving and the 4WD for the front wheels started blinking, I stop put it in N shift the Activetrack to 4WD (its always in 2WD) and back and forth till the light stopped blinking. The other day I was driving and the 4WD Indicator the rear tyres light went off and the indicator showed no illumination. I stopped shifted into 4WD and only the front tyres lighted up. I did over and over again. Nothing happened after a while the damn light started to work again. Can someone help me???????? I going crazy and the damn dealership cant seem to tell me whats wrong with it.

Is your's called a Montero where you are or a Pajero? Just curious.
As for your problem, I suspect a sensor is at fault or your auto hubs are going bad. Most likely it's the sensor.
