Re: Mileage
I got 200,000kms, whatever that is in miles. It has barely any rust. One little spot in the doorjamb that I'm going to fix one day, everything else is mint, not bad for a car in salt central. lol

215,000 or something around that area, the odometer wasn't working for a while. But it's all original and still can scoot pretty good. Think I'm finally going to have to fix that coolant leak though, I'm going through a gallon a week right now. Probably should change the oil and gearbox/rear dif oil at the same time. Probably should fix the speedo. And the temp guage, well that works most of the time and all I have to do is hit the dash to get it to work again. Alignment wouldn't hurt. Or painting the fender. Or getting a bumper thats in one piece. Maybe figure out what that massive bog down in power that happens every now and then is. Maybe replace that injector seal that leaks. And the one next to it that leaks. And the spark plugs. Clutch has some miles on it. Master cylinder leaks a bit so there is a bit of paint missing underneath in the engine bay. Timing chain rattles like crazy.
Meh, it will be alright.

Re: Mileage
140,1xx as of today.
Sees 14psi everyday. Actually about 10 times today. Included in those 10 times are 6 or so 60-110mph pulls. One 60-110mph pull yesterday. Daily driven.

Just turned 243,000 miles after a 1400 mile trip to FL. Still the original engine and even the original AC still works! It has been an amazing car, and I honestly haven't maintained it the way it should have been, but I'm now looking to change some of the stock parts to increase performance, and try to extend its life.

I am planning to post a thread with my 240s current situation and welcome all thoughts/suggestions as I have generally always had someone else work on the car until just recently when some friends showed me the benefits of working on it myself. |
