problems with my 01 xg

So i just bought a 2001 xg300 I got a really good deal on it but it has 125000 miles on it, Well I got it home and the check engine light came on, I took it to auto zone and they told me it was running too lean, basically it's either getting to much air or not enough gas? Also I noticed when i shift it into drive there is a pause, maybe a half second or so longer than most cars, it shifts fine, just slow then,, i checked tranny fluid and it was a little low, Do I Have To Use Hyundai Fluid? There Is No Dealership near here? anyways if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks Alot!@!

Could be a couple things on the lean code. Could be a mass air flow sensor, but more commonly it's an oxygen sensor. A proper scan would have told you which one, but then again, it's Autozone. There are 4 oxygen sensors on your car, which one it is, that I don't know.

Hyundai's take SPIII transmission fluid. Hyundai recommends changing it every 30k miles, so you might want to look into that since you don't know when it was done last. Kia's and some Mitsu's take the same SPIII fluid, so if you have a Mitsu or Kia dealership near by, you can pick it up there too. If you are just topping it off, I have heard of people using a fluid made for all vehicles, or Chrysler ATF+3. How well it worked in the long run, I don't know. If you change out the fluid though, you MUST use SPIII. We have done several transmissions where a quick oil change place has done a transmission service and put in Dextron, or Type-F, and the cars haven't even made it out of the parking lot.

It came up with 2 codes but both were the same 1 on cylinder 1 and 1 on cylinder 2 would that be likely to point toward the mass air flow? or is that still just 1 of 5? wasn't sure if this would tell you more or not? also someone told me that it could be a vacuum leak? is that a possibility? if you can help anymore that would be great, thanks alot!!
