anyone else experiencing a sporadic grinding noise coming from the right front wheel area when turning right? 2 GM dealers can't find the problem my tire & brakes store says the wheels & tires are fine.

Re: sporadic grinding noise from front while turning right?
My first guess is wheel bearings.
Possibly a CV joint is loose and noisy or allows the half shaft to rub on something periodically as it rotates. Finally, it might be related to the power steering or steering rack, but that is less likely. |

Re: sporadic grinding noise from front while turning right?
While not on my van, I had a very similar problem with a soon-to-fail outer CV joint. What had happened was the fairly intricate outer joint had a crack that under the certain condition, allowed things to rub as they weren't suppose to. It would come and go, sometimes on gentle turns, sometimes on sharp turns. Eventually though it did snap, stranding me along the side of the road.
