Rear wheel bearing discrepencies

Ok guys, new to this forum, but have had metros for a better part of 6 years.

Retired my 98 LSI two years ago, when it needed more than it was worth, but this is when I discovered the discrepencies. It needed rear wheel bearings, so I go and pick up sets for both sides, $50 bucks total, then pulled one side drum off to find they didnt fit on the spindle, they were WAY too small, so look round in the haynes manual and yeah, this isnt right..... Come to find out instead of having normal press into the drum bearings, it was fitted with ABS spindles and it definetly doesnt have ABS. Come to find out its gonna cost $150+ per side to replace the bearings...... fuck that.

So I picked up a 95 LSI and having been driving that since. So today I went to go check the rear brake adjusters, cause suddenly my e-brake handle pulled all the way up... and come to find this thing has the same ABS hubs on it????? Talked to numerous auto parts places and no one had seen this before. It this jsut coincidence that I happen to get two non-ABS metros with ABS hubs on them? Anyone else have any experiance with finding the same thing?
