emergency brake replacement quote?

hey all, and thanks in advance.
does anyone have an estimate of how much an emergency brake fix/repair job
might cost? it's pretty much lost it's function recently, and over a rapid period of time.

Without seeing it, we would need a little more info. Could be as simple as a cable adjustment/replacement.

ok, thanks. so, it's pretty much a case where the initial assessment will indicate the cost? i'm guessing the labor alone for cable adjustment will be around 60-70 bucks, plus whatever parts needed. and if it's more serious of a repair, do you have any idea of what the max cost might be? what kind of info might i be able to give you that could be informative and useful?

ok, so the diagnosis was as follows:
-e-brake mechanisms were locked in the "on" position on both wheels.
-both need to be replaced
-drums on both wheels can use to be replaced

labor and all above parts were quoted to me at $600.

is this robbery? or is this a reasonable price?
