Smile 1991 Honda Accord

Hey I have a friend who's looking to do a 2jz GTE engine swap. It's a 1991 Honda accord. Anyone know where to find one?

Good luck w/ that....Toyota engine into an Accord....i think if you're going to dump that much money into something, you should at least have a better starter car. It isn't my project so have fun!! I hope he has deep pockets!

anything can fit with enough money. It will require a ton of fabrication and custom parts. Engine management will probably be a huge pain in the ass. Before your buddy even undertakes a project like this can he even afford it?

I would check the obvious places like carpart.com, supra and lexus sc300 forums, and junkyards.

Re: 1991 Honda Accord

a toyota car will probably be easier to work on, you would also want rear wheel drive because the 2jz is from a rear wheel drive car and the tranny is for rear wheel drive. it's a huge pain to try to convert fwd to rwd and it's not very solid, especially if it's done by an amateur, and therefore not very reliable. You'd be better off to try a corolla (80 something - 88 or something like that, you want the rear wheel drive ones) stick the egnine in (with alot of modifications to the engine bay to fit that thing in) and then strengthen the frame a whole lot and get a strong enough rear end, a custom drivetrain, and try to fit the tranny in.

it's basically the same process with any small car trying to fit a big engine in, you need to reinforce everything and get ALOT of custom parts. your friend had better be a really good fabricator or he'll be spending alot of money paying people to get this stuff done.

If he does do it, post pics and vids of it. it would be the most unique corolla/accord/whatever he choses i've ever heard of.

Sounds to me like someone has been smoking to much crack again.

Try again with a reasonable question BigG123.

AF is not a fantasy forum.
