Clock/Radio display

My 98 tran sport clock radio display has no back light. Occaisionally, if the sunlight is shining on the display just right, you can read the time. Any suggestions? I've tried fuses and bulbs to the best of my ability. Can anyone shine some light on the subject?

Re: Clock/Radio display

A quick search found............
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...=radio+display
That pretty much covers it except that
my 98 Montana was a bit different in that the bulb was a buck fourty
at a local electronics shop & was soldered in.

Goodluck,
Brian

Re: Clock/Radio display

Yesterday i tried to fix my clock on a 97 TSP. I wasn't able to find an exact bulb match but the guy at the electronic store sold me a L-22 rated for 12v 35 mAmp.
I installed it and it glows very dim. Does anyone know if this is the correct amperage.

Only a 10 minute job if i could get the correct bulb.

Any thoughts......Paul
