1995 jetta electrical problem
Hi, I have 1995 Jetta (Celebration Edition) that sat unused for 1+year. Replaced dead battery and reset radio but electricals still don't work (e.g., dashboard display, clock, power doorlocks, sunroof). Speedometer goes in/out. Thought maybe was fuse issue but have no knowledge of how to check/fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1995 jetta electrical problem
A very common problem with these are broken wiring between the body and the front doors. When you open the front doors, there is a black boot that connects to the door from the body. Pull the boot back and see if they're are any cracks and/or breaks in the wiring. My 94 Jetta had this issue, 15 minutes with some wire strippers and shrink tubing fixed all sorts of elec. problems like alarm, power windows and locks ,etc.
