Question 2004 Silverado Satellite Radio Power Source

Where can I find an easy place to connect the power for my external satellite radio so it comes on and off with the radio? I pulled a few fuses on my drivers door side fuse box looking for switched power and now my engine light is on. I didn't want to pull the radio (Bose 6 speaker with 6 CD changer) for fear of locking it up.

you will have to pull the lower dash off and go to the ignition harness in there. should be able to use a brown or orange wire about 10 gauge. and to get the check engine light off you could try disconnecting both battery cables from the battery and then touch them together for a few seconds and that will erase the memory to everything, and if that doesnt work then you may need to take a trip to the stealer.

Thanks for the tip. I am wondering if the wires you stated are switched with the ignition and not the radio? ( I will check)

Standard wiring colors are present on my '02 silverado.

In the wiring harness; 12v constant power is yellow

12v switched power is red

Hope it helps
