Re: babby on the bottle

^lol

I think polishing and porting is definitly a very good thing to do... as for a NOS kit are you installing it yourself or having a performance shop do it???

as far as I know, there's no difference between a JDM n/a and a USDM n/a engine... so you're just spending extra money that you don't need.

Re: Re: babby on the bottle

Whoever is telling you about blown headgaskets are stupid. These cars blwo headgaskets about as often as a VR4 goes over 300,000 miles.

Re: babby on the bottle

hey stealthee, do you remember seeing that DOHC NA 3/S on 3si with 400,000+ miles on it?

original engine too!

ya, our cars don't blow headgaskets. once when i was coming home from college, my car overheated... 3 TIMES! and you know where the red mark is on the temp gauge...well the needle was well beyond that point. i thought my heads would be warped, head gaskets blown, yada yada bad stuff should have happened. ...oh no, just everything was fine. my thermostat just melted into one piece. new thermostat...i was ready to go (granted, the car was pressure tested and everything checked out ok).

these engines don't blow head gaskets.

Re: babby on the bottle

yeah the guys had just told me about hondas and other motors with high miliage. (my car has 104k). but what about forged parts? i think the 94 and up motors had forged cranks and pistons right for both na and tt.

Re: Re: babby on the bottle

Forged crank, forged rods, cast pistons. The pistons however are a special casting that makes them stronger than regualr cast pistons.

Yup. There are a few guys running 75+ shots on stock internals with absolutely zero issues. Make sure to get a wet kit if you get one though.

Those that says its cheating are stupid. Its forced induction. If nitrous is cheating then so is turbos, super chargers and any other go fast goody. Tell them to "Quit their bitchin".

As for the NX kit it looks pretty good. I plan on spraing sometime after my car is fixed right and wil end up going with that one.

I beleive they call that a window switch. Defitely something you want with a nitrous system.
