Will a 88 civic 1.6 throttle body work on a 88 civic with 1.5 engine?

Will a 88 civic 1.6 throttle body work on a 88 civic with 1.5 engine? The parts shop said when they looked up the part number for 1.5 the 1.6 came up and said it should work. Just wondering if anyone knew if it would work? Thanks.

it will work but u need to convert the wiring.

yeah unfortunately it wont work.. u got dpfi with is dual port which means u only got 2 injectors and well ur engine wire harness and ecu was made for 2 fuel injectors. this is whats all involved for that to happen http://hondacrx881.tripod.com/mpfiswap.html

I replaced the throttle body with a 1.5. Which is the proper one. Now when I start the engine the car revs up then down and almost stalls, it does this about 8 times then the check engine light comes on and it smooths out. I am also getting a code 5 which indicates a map sensor problem. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Did I hook up a hose wrong to the throttle body? I have never had a map sensor code until today when I put on the new throttle body.
