transmission not shifting

Car is 94 z28 with automatic. It was shifting fine and just started not working. Reverse works fine. When put in drive it starts out in third gear instead of going through first and second. If you start out in second you can shift up to drive manually and it shifts fine or manually down shift from third to second. The car just won't shift up or down on its own. Is transmission shot or could there be something else causing this problem

Do you hotrod it alot? Because if its starting out in 3rd it sounds like u have stripped ur tranny gears 1 and 2.

yea, thats what i did, fuked it up real good. cost me around 2k to repair.

I started car and drove again the last two days and transmission is shifting fine. I have only owned the car for a week so I don't know if it has had that proplem in the past, that is the only time it has happen and has always shifted great otherwise. Maybe it got too hot. I am going to get fluid and filter changed though.

Shift solinoid B bad, changed fluid and filter and replaced solinoids A and B both wihile pan was off. Seems to have filxed problem.
