2 Amps

I have a question, im a newbie to car audio. Just installed my first cd deck and speakers in my car. I have 1100 watts to play with the 2 12' subs. Im running around 600 watts right now and I have another amp just laying around and dont really have no money to get a 1000 watt amp. So I was wondering if it was possible to hook up 2 amps linking them? Kinda confused

Re: 2 Amps

Just get a distribution block, mount that near the amp. I'm assuming your stuff is in the trunk.
From the block, run power to each amp. Then, power each sub individually with each amp. Ground each amp seperately. If one of your amps has Pre-Amp Outputs, AKA RCA outputs, you're in luck. If not, you'll have to buy some RCA cables to go from the deck to the second amp.

Alright seems simple enough. Thanks.
