Thumbs up i've said bye bye to mitsubishi and hello to Honda

i am officaly out of the dsm world. i couldnt take the lack of reliabilty in these cars, yea it was fast but it was a new problem every day. so i sold it for 4 grand which by the way everyone said would be impossible on this sit because it was only worth 3 grand (1990 gsx lightly modified and painted with cold idle problem). Then the day after i sold it went and bought me a lowered, full exhaust, short shifter and intake b16a with a gsr ys-1 tranny swapped crx. wow alot more fun to drive my 900lb lighter car. Then my cow of a gsx. I took my crx to the track last night and ran a 14.2 on street tires. and best of all it gets 28 city miles to the gallon unlike my gsx that eated gas at a mearly 20 city miles to the gallon. overall i am loving the conversion to honda so far. And im glad i got rid of that ticking time bomb. My advice to others thinking about selling there mitsubshi/eagle/plymoth is get out before its to late and your stuck with 2800lb slug with a blown motor.

Re: i've said bye bye to mitsubishi and hello to Honda

but the advantage to these "2800lb slug with a blown motors" is that in the event of a car accident, they are MUCH safer than a small car with poor crash test ratins

Re: i've said bye bye to mitsubishi and hello to Honda

dude to be honest i think your better off with a honda, yeah you will prolly die if you cash into a ford truck, but there a hell lot more better and 100% more dependable then a DSM my 1g is a nightmare, i find myself on a daily basis wondering why i sold my civic hatch and civic coupe for a gsx and a gs,

Or a 14 sec 1/4 after many thousands in mods. Not a personal shot, just my opinion so no offense HondaTuner20 or anyone else. I like hondas, just not to mod. If for some reason my DSM gets to become a monster, I will have a honda daily driver. Hell, I may have a honda daily driver/ parts getter/ back up car anyway. Yeah, how many miles? How much? Glad you're happy, that is all that matters.

Re: i've said bye bye to mitsubishi and hello to Honda

Honda's are a lot more dependable and also last a lot more than DSM, there is no argument here. DSM are faster, better looking and in my opinion more comftable then Honda's.
I would never trade a DSM for a honda. There is a kid around here with a fully build hatch. Suspension, injectors, front mount intercooler and almost everything you can put on that sucker. He's running a big ass expensive turbo from what I've heard from his friends which were telling the truth in my opinion. The hatch looked like a monster BUT ....Best 1/4 mile time he got was a 13.5. WOW. He spend around 12-15K on mods alone. Pfffffffff good luck with that speed demon man cause I know I would be eating you alive. Your car was a 1990 GSX ? Thats a 16 year old car , wtf do you expect ??? The only problem I had with my DSM was that I had to change my Water Pump, OMG I must sell that bastard right away cause i know the engine will blow soon.
Come on man, if you dont like DSM thats fine, but you cant say that they all suck because you just got a bad buy. Good luck with your CRX and I hope you whoop a lot of cars. I would love to run you someday and make you regret this day . I used to be a Honda Guy , but things change and Honda's are good on gas but dont count on too much speed.

the motor has 23,000 miles on it. its only got 2 mods cat back exhaust and short ram intake. and im sure u put over 3200 bucks (thats what i paid for the car) to beat my 14.2. im sure your well over that in the price of the car and mods. so im cool with your car being fast cuz if you invest more then you should be faster cuz if your not then theres somthing wrong.
