E250 fuel pump problem?

I have a 93 E250 Econloline with the 5.8 engine. I was heading down the road when it was stumbling & finally died. Had it towed home & I am thinking its fuel related. When I turn on the key, it is silent, I thought I used to be able to hear the fuel pump prime, or run for a few seconds. Now there is nothing. Just wondering what methods I should use to test the system. I thought this van had a relay for the pump, But I could not find it yet. I was planing on dropping the tank, But I am now thinking there must be a good test first?

Any help would be great!
