2003 sunfire - need help with headlight problem

Hi all. Just bought a nice 2003 sunfire. Whe I drive at night it looks like headlights shine only about 8 feet in front of car??? Highs seem ok. Whats the deal?? Anyone else have that problem and how do I adjust? What screws and how do I get to them?
Unless it is another problem I don't know about...
They just don't project light far???
Anyone??
Thanks!

Look on the back of your headlights and you will see adjusters.Pull up to a garage door about 8 feet between the car and the door and on level ground. You will be able to see what your doing.
