Question 12V power source

Am installing a two way radio in a 2001 Expedition. Where in the world is a place where I can tap in for a KEYED 12v power source? Want it to be neat and trouble free. There does not seem to be any free terminals or studs to tie into.

Re: 12V power source

You can tap into an existing fuse outlet on the fuseblock.
Radio Shack (and other places) sell these neat power taps that are intended to attach to an existing blade type fuse.
Depending on the fuse and which side you take the power from, the fuse will work for the radio, but an in-line fuse is better.
The alternative is to tap off an existing 12 volt wire under the dash. Clip-on power taps are available for this, too.
Some testing would be required to find the right one.
