tire question

Hello All,
I'm new to the forum, recently bought a 97 station wagon for a work commuter. I bought some 15x6.5, 40offset wheels and need tire help. I was told to go with 195/60/15.
Would it hurt to go with 195/65/15 instead. Stock tire diameter is 24.5 in. the 195/60's are 24.2 in, and the 195/65's measure 25.0 in. Speedometer error with the 65's is 2%.
What's your opinon ?

2% is pretty far out. the stock tire is 185/65-15(for dohc cars) and 175/70-14(for sohc cars), other sizes that work 195/60-15 and the one most guys go with is 205/55-15. because of the aspect ratio a stock 15" wheel/rim combo will work on cars that came stock with 14" wheels without much difference at all.
