89 tracker idles to high

my 89 tracker idles at 1700 how do i lower it to 800 ,the timing is right and im not sure what else to do

There should be a screw you can adjust that manually opens and closes the throttle blade..
Is your tracker an automatic or manual?

If not you have to adjust the cable itself.. I'll look at my tracker after work and let you know for sure.

If it's anything like mine (93), it idles high until it warms up and then drops to about 800. Have you noticed whether this is the case with yours?
