2003 Higlander rear bearings

Wife bought a used 2003 Higlander with 33k one month later the rear end had a noise had it checked out and it was a rear right wheel bearing. Toyota relaced the bearing and axel sub assembly and seal plates. this was 11-7-05. noise back again took to toyota 12-30-05 and test drove it by them. They took the car in and put on lift and found out the left rear bearing is completly shot they showed me, brought me out to the car and showed me the wheel was totally loose and had plenty of movement. They would not give the car back to us to dangerous to drive they gave us a loaner till it gets fixed. My question is anyone have this problem both rear wheel bearings go in shuch a shot time and also is there a way to see if there was arecall or complaints for the problem.

thanks
