hello everyone. my name is alex and i originally signed up for my porsche but i do also own a 1988 ford bronco 2 with a 5spd that i have a few questions for. my bronco has over 200,000 miles, and when the truck is running, i can just smell the oil burning from the exhaust (blow by). i do believe that the engine will last a while longer, but with the california smog check coming up in about a year (every 2 years), i just might be doomed. the truck had major problems smogging a year ago and this time im not sure if it can make it. SO, does anyone know how much work and money it would take to throw a 5.0 in my BII.

Re: ENGINE sWaP for a BII. from a 2.9 to a 5.0
Seach yahoo (or perferd search engine) for rangers or broncos with SB swaps there are many good sites. Some even sell kits to do it.
