Exclamation Taking apart the Driver's door!!!!!!!!!

I need to know how to take apart the Driver's side door on my 1999 TransAM. I took out all 3 screws, but I can't seem to be able to pull the thing apart. PLEASE HELP ME. I've been installing speakers, and I was able to get the passenger side apart, but not the driver's.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

Re: Taking apart the Driver's door!!!!!!!!!

take apart as in..take off the panel on the inside? or..take off car..

if its the panel and you got all the screws off, theres gonna be pins holding it on.. you hve to sort of pop off the pins, and lift up to get it off the door.

Re: Taking apart the Driver's door!!!!!!!!!

ah, yeah, like i said..there should be pins holding the panel on.. pry em individually out..its almost impossible to not break some as you take it off..you can prolly get spares from any auto-parts store..but you can also just shove it back on with a bunch missing... just be sure you got ALL the screws off..if you did, you should have almost nothing on the door..including the armrest. theres a couple screws in that as well.. and start prying from the bottom, work your way up, there will be no pins on the top, u have to just push it up over the rail..thing.. it will also help if you had your window down so you can lift it up.

Re: Taking apart the Driver's door!!!!!!!!!

oh yeah..when putting it back on, match up the pins + holes..and whack the place where there should be a pin with a small mallet.. or the back of a screwdriver..or a fist.. itll all werk the same.

im pretty sure it should be like that.. ive taken apart a bunch of car door panels and they all had that.. im guessing the pins are metal clips..?

am i right abt that 4g people?

did u pop out the panel with the switches on it and then pop out the peice behind the door handle? Once that is out...there is another screw. Also, take off the plastic triangle peice near the mirror. Make sure yur window is down, and pop that baby up. Sometimes u just hae to give it a good pull if it hasn't been taken off before. I have taken mine off more then i care to talk about.
