'92 tranny: what is this sound?

(it will play a 13 second wav file). This sound is coming from the tranny, you can hear it best by putting your ear close to the wheel well (drivers side) You cannot hear it from the passenger side. I haven't looked at the sticker...but its appears this is the original transmission. What is this sound? (it gets "faster" when you give it throttle) In browsing other posts...some referred to the tranny chain (the drive chain I'm assuming) and some referred to the tranny vacume modulator. BTW...I have no leaks of ATF and its a nice cherry red color...no shifting/drivability problems either. If anyone can shed light...I'd appreciate it, its driving me nuts!

I might also say (upon reading this thread...http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=499608)my sound is the same whether I'm moving or not.

It sorta sounds like a cracked flex plate or converter to me. Have you pulled the converter dust shield off yet?
