Question yet another header post...please dont ignore though

ok before everyone says "SEARCH!!!" i did...i got tired of reading all the stupid people posts and got tired of reading "its header not headers" and not learning anything...can somebody make a decent post that knows what they are talking about...

1. whats the difference in 4-1 headers and 4-2-1 headers...are there any other types?
2. what should it be made out of...from what i read im thinking stainless with a ceramic coat so it doesnt change colors?
3. are ebay headers any good? are they decent...or should i fork out 250+ bucks for a pacesetter header?...i have been looking at "DC-S" header on ebay...at first i thought it was DC sports and was gunna be all over it...theres no way its dc sports that cheap...

so will somebody make it clean for me and future N/A kids who are after a header...what should we look for in a good header...

Re: yet another header post...please dont ignore though

OK. Lets get this straight. You want a quick good answer, but yet you go and call people stupid. So this is all your getting.

1) 4-1 header is when the pipes coming from the block all join into 1 before they reach the downpipe. A 4-2-1 goes from the 4, then joins into 2 at the DP, then merges into 1, usually farther under the vehicle. 4-2-1 are usually not smog good. Fail emmisions tests. They have better low end. 4-1 have better high end.

2) Is it a show car or you going for speed? If your going for speed, then the color it turns doesant matter. My stainless steel one slightly discoloured, but it works great. That's all I care about.

3) Mine is a ebay one. Got for 130. I love it. Fit perfect, no cracks, and holding up great. Don't buy a wanna-be header. Anyone that uses fake things like that to get you to buy shouldnt be bought. Look for something cheap, that doesnt use names and motos to make it look like a namebrand.

There are three brand you should consider:

1. DC Sports - The best (I will be buying one in spring-summer)
2. Megan Racing - Very good from what I hear, fitment is snug.
3. OBX - Still pretty good, does the job, good fitment.

Everything else goes below these 3 brands, atleast for our cars. Ceramic coated is a major plus. If I were you, I wouldn't even look at anything under $100 because it will be junk, in one way or another. You can still buy any of those brands on Ebay, and much cheaper than most other place. I have seen the DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic coated header going for $260 shipped. Stay away from Pacesetter.
